I fully enjoyed this!!! Is it abandoned? Really hope not

Seems good, but it would be easier to play if jump wasn't spacebar.

Really enjoyed it.

If you fail in before reaching the first checkpoint you are trapped in the start area, or I just don't know how to leave that area after restarting my last save.

so help?

Yes, that is a problem. Sadly the only way around it is to restart.

I need help. I can not even start the game! After i press enter, I try to click new game. I tried a lot of times. How do you start the game?! This game looks really fun!

To select options use SPACEBAR to move the cursor use the ARROW keys (UP/DOWN). This game does not use mouse inputs.

Needs controller support as well as full screen :-)

Noted. Thanks for the feedback.

This is really good.

Thanks ^^

so there's nothing after area 6 gate? will you ever finish the game?

There is but there is an error with this build making it impossible to get past it. However everything past Area 6 is unfinished. I hope to finish it someday.

I have a 2-part series of this game.

In the second video the game crashed when I destroyed the first thingy on the gate. I tried it again after recording to see if the game would crash at that exact same moment, and it did. So I guess my playthrough of this is over. I did like the game, though.

Nice play through. Hopefully new build will be a lot less buggy and informative on what you are suppose to do.Thanks for the feedback.

I love your game! Well done! :) Hope you will make some more ;3

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it, even in its current state

On the itch app I get the error message when I tried to run the game after install "Its last words were: application crashed. process exited with code 127" the whole problem here http://pastebin.com/g5K68F45

Sorry, but I can't help you there. All I know is that this game runs fine on windows PC. I didn't even know there was an itch app.

Wonderful work! Looking forward to the finished product!

Thanks!

Strange. I'm currently at the area 6 gate.
Whenever I manage to hurt it enough, the following error shows up:

___________________________________________
############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event0
for object obj_weakpoint:

Variable obj_weakpoint.obj_scraps(100271, -2147483648) not set before reading it.

Yeah, that is a issue with debris that is suppose to spawn. I changed the debris system to make it easier on myself, but I guess I forgot to change it in all the objects that used the script. There isn't much to do after the gate though. Just unfinished rooms.

I absolutely adore this game, despite being in development i can already see how well it is coming along and i already love the little interactions between Ro_bit and the humans in his surroundings. I found the controls a little hard to get use to but as i progressed in the game i got used to them. I have got stuck after obtaining a green cylinder, i dont know what to do with it so i assume thats the end of the demo.I cant help but wonder if you could answer back on how the games coming along and will you be posting about your progress? I think it a splendid idea about putting this game on console as well as PC as it gives you a wider audience. Do you have this game on kick-starter? as i feel people will really appreciate the game there as well. I just want this game and you to succeed, good luck :)

edit: i got past the green capsule puzzle and am now stuck in front of a yellow gate with face

I am glad you enjoyed it. And thank you so much for you encouragement. I liked your question about updating on progress. I didn't realize this site had a forum until today so I set up a Devlog that I will try to update when I have progress. https://itch.io/t/34394/ro-bit-devlog I do not have a kick-starter for Ro_bit, but that is something I have considered.

Thanks again for you feedback.

Thank you gentlemen, I really appreciate it.

My character got stuck in a room with a conveyor belt as a floor that moves me to the left.

Oh yes, sorry about that. It was more of a test room for the conveyor belts to see if they worked. I hope it didn't inconvience you too much.

....great game my friend!!

Thank you.

Gave your game a go....

Thank you very much. You were doing pretty good. There are actually 2 mini bosses in this version, however neither is properly implemented so they wouldn't give you too much trouble. I posted this quickly because it is an old build and I'd like good feedback since I am moving the game to Unity. I also wanted to build up some awareness since I have plans to put this game on consoles. I am working on those controls to make them more efficient and intuitive to the player. Along with better instructions for players so they are not completely blind at the start. Thank you again for playing and I am glad you enjoyed it.

Nice, although I lost my way at some point :)

Thanks. Yes I see, you were doing pretty good. The final will have a little more direction with mission markers on the map. The map can be accessed via the pause menu in this build. If you go back to that large room (storage room) where you saw the mechs in the background then you will be able to progress a little further. Also controls can be edited at the title screen. Thanks for trying it out and the feedback.

This game is pretty cute so far, but the controls for this game seem kind of annoying. Why can't up just interact with stuff? Having an extra button for that and then one for shoot and one for jump seems clumsy and unnecessary. My hand is already over the arrow keys, so why not use up to do something rather than add an other button, you know?

Thank you for the input. I fully understand and agree. I programmed it that way because you can aim up at an angle and I didn't want to be annoyed constantly going into doors or reading signs when I am trying to just shoot a enemy. I am reprogramming this game in Unity so I will figure out a better solution.

Thanks again for your input.
